in carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and ether. Insoluble
in fatty hydrocarbon and aromatic hydrocarbon. stronger
hygroscopic. There are three hydroxymethyls on the a position
of TMP molecule, it possesses the following excellent
properties: it can improve solidity, corrosion-resistant,
sealing, and possesses good stability to water-decomposing,
heat-decomposing and oxidation. Three hydroxyls have same
reaction energy and so on. |

| The use is wide. It is mainly used
to producing Alkyd resin, Polyurethane and so on. In addition,
it is raw material of synthetic lubricating oil, plasticizer,
surface active agent, explosive and other fine chemicals. |
